*****You could tell me that the joke in today’s strip is horribly tasteless and possibly
offensive. However, no matter how true that may be, it does not change the fact that I
am NOT MAKING THIS UP. It’s too stupid to be made up. Jay really did take that
flight, and it really did leave at that time. Judge me if you want to, but I’m only telling
it how it was.
*****I must again apologize for the lateness of this update. The past few weeks have
been kinda crazy on my end. Between balancing my workload from school and finally
obtaining a new job, I’ve been a little busy. Plus, last week was tech week for the
show I was in, which went very well, by the way. I had a really good time, and I
worked with some really awesome people. I’ll have pictures up on my Facebook just
as soon as I can get my hands on them.
*****In addition to that, this particular strip decided it was going to give me a whole
heap of trouble for no reason whatsoever. I have no idea why, but every time I sat
down to draw it, my motivation completely drained out of me. And when I went to do
it last night, try as I might I just could not stay focused. Oh, I was motivated enough,
but my attention decided to wander randomly elsewhere. So, I opted to sleep it off,
and start over. That didn’t help. So, I’ve spent the better part of today slogging my
way through this one. It’s probably not my best work, but I’m satisfied…for now. It
did get pretty long, though. I should probably try to avoid that in the future.
*****You may notice something new on the site today. My publishing license got
approved, and I am now able to sell ad space on Ren Rats. Hopefully, I’ll be able to
use the income from this to fund my webhosting fees. I had originally intended to use
the Store for this purpose, but since nobody’s been buying anything (hint, wink,
nudge) I have been forced to find alternate means of maintaining the site. I have no
problem with this, as this falls well within the bounds of what I consider to be
acceptable activity when it comes to selling out.
*****Anyway, thank you all for bearing with me and I’ll see you again next week. I’
m still tweaking the site here and there, and I’ll keep you updated on new stuff as I
post it.
